SIX ‘O MINUS are
Taisuke Endo/Drums, Percussions
Kensuke Fukasawa/Guitar, Vocal
Shunsuke Hirase/Bass guitar
Meiko Kita/Keyboards
Masahiro Ogiya/Sound effects
In 2004, at Tokyo, Kensuke, Shunsuke, Taisuke formed six ominus.
they were members of a band "saith" that was alternative band deeply
influenced by Pixies. At first, six ominus had more pop reggae-dub
style like FISHMANS or Polaris. and they released 1st demo CD-R
"plugged" in fall of 2004.
From 2005, they started their own live show series named "planet of
sound". and Hasuo who is a keyboardist from School Food Punishment
join six ominus. his keyboard sounds added six ominus more
psychedelic and progressive taste. and released 2nd demo CD-R
"distance".
In 2006, they joined Taiwanese music festival "Spring Scream" and
"Formoz". it made them a little famous in Taiwan. and they released
special package of the 1st and 2nd demos named "demo04-05" from
Randommind Records in Taiwan.
At January of 2007, Hasuo left six ominus. this made them think
about their music style again and the music style became more minimal
and heavy influenced by Rebel Familia, Vermillion Sands, Massive
Attack, or influenced by poetry reading artists. and they released
their 1st album "bury the sun" from Travelin Word. and had tour in
west side of Japan. this album was sold over 600 pieces in Japan. and
many kinds of music or fashion magazines and websites wrote the
reviews. (ex, Music Magazine, Smart, CRJ,etc..)and this album get the
4th in CRJ-Nagoya chart and 2nd in CRJ-Fukuoka chart, 8th in CRJ-
Tokyo chart. and Tower Records made special corner for this album. in
August, they joined Formoz again. and had mini tour in taipei, sold
100 CDs in this tour.
In Fall of this year, Meiko joined six ominus. then, Masahiro joined
six ominus on this Spring. they became 5piece band.
Now they have 2 or 3 live shows a month. and planning to release
their next album.
